They call her the Lady of Flowers, not because of her fascination with the blossoms of the City of Flowers, but rather because of her habit of having them inked onto her skin in elaborate patterns and motifs. She sports more than a hundred blossoms, inked in dyes made of the flowers that grow in her protectorate. What only her inner circle knows, however, is that each marks a life the Lady Hatsuki is responsible for taking, and with each new death is made a new blossom.
Description
Lady Hatsuki is a woman of incredible beauty, called flawless by her admirers. Like the flowers of Dokuen, her appearance belies lethality. Muscles, blades, and poisons are hidden by her hair, which falls in black and silver cascades, like moonlight in the darkest night. Though she acts the demure consort, there are hints of the truth behind the facade: a swiftness of action, eyes that gleam with confidence, the familiarity with blades.
Chosen Weapon
Ceremonially, it is Lady Hatsuki’s duty to wield the ancestral blade of her clan, but as impressive as that weapon is, it is not the one she has chosen. Rather, she uses steel blossoms, throwing blades with razor-sharp, poison-tipped petals. To be stung by her steel flowers is to be invited to a personal audience with your ancestors.
